Energy is often converted from one form to another to be used for various applications. Examples include:
- Using gasoline (chemical energy) and batteries (electrical energy) to cause cars to move (kinetic energy)
- Using electricity to power TVs and provide light and sound
- Using food (chemical energy) to allow a person to run (do work)
