This section is a a field analysis of the kind of radially magnetized, permanent magnet structures commonly used in electric machinery. It is a fairly general analysis, which will be suitable for use with either surface or in-slot windings, and for the magnet inside or the magnet outside case.
This is a two-dimensional layout suitable for situations in which field variation along the length of the structure is negligible.
