    ASIC: Application Specific Integrated Circuit

    ELF: Early Life Failure

EMC: Electromagnetic Compatibility emission testing measures the electromagnetic emissions produced by electronic devices. This testing ensures that devices do not interfere with other electronic equipment and comply with established standards. The focus is on radiated emissions and conducted emissions. Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing is a critical process to ensure that electronic devices and systems operate without causing or being affected by electromagnetic interference (EMI).

EMI: Electromagnetic interference. EMI testing measures emissions of a device and the device's immunity to interference for regulatory compliance.

FOSS: Free and Open Source Software

    GPL: General Public License

HALT: Highly Accelerated Life Testing. It is performed during the system design phase.

HASS: Highly Accelerated System Screening is performed after products have been produced by manufacturing as a production quality assurance method used to identify latent manufacturing defects in newly built products. The goal is to find potential early-life failures that might be caused by manufacturing assembly issues, component soldering defects, or part misalignments that may have escaped normal quality control processes.

    OSS: Open Source Software

    PCB: Printed Circuit Board

    PCBA: Printed Circuit Board Assembly

SDK: Software Development Kit, supporting software supplied by an external network ASIC vendor for integrating ASICs into network applications. It may also refere to Switch Development Kit.
