    Every measurement collected has some combination of true value within and some associated uncertainty. The methodology for building from resolution of individual data points, through instruments used, and then integration of multiple measurements into a total result are covered in this chapter. The subsequent methodology provides the mechanism to put bounds (i.e. error bars) on all future data results.

    • Recognize measurement uncertainty is \(\pm \frac{1}{2}\) the resolution of the sensor reading
    • Integrate resolution uncertainty with combination of instrument uncertainty(ies) through root sum square
