Grove connectors

( \newcommand{\kernel}{\mathrm{null}\,}\)

Grove System - Seeed Wiki

Grove is a modular, standardized connector prototyping system. Grove takes a building block approach to assembling electronics. Compared to the jumper or solder based system, it is easier to connect, experiment and build and simplifies the learning system, but not to the point where it becomes dumbed down.

The grove connectors are used for interfacing both analog, digital, serial and I2C sensors.

In the above diagram the sensor is powered through the VCC and GND.  Data is through (A) for analog or (D) for digital.

Each grove connector has two digital (D0, D1) or analog (A0, A1) lines.

For two-way communications between the sensor and computer we have I2C and serial.

The I2C interface has VCC, GND, SDA and SCL.

The serial interface has VCC, GND, TxD and RxD.
